The next presentation....

Hi guys,
So, as we know we've got to do another presentation in about 3 weeks on a topic of our choice. Now I think we need to decide on what our subject will be asap and then stick to it so we don't waste too much time on that.

So I was thinking maybe art movement or specific artist.... or maybe something like the motor engine as that has revolutionised everything and can easily be brought forward and back in time...

Just some thoughts... let me know, I'm sure you'll all come up with something much better than me :)

  1. I had a thought that is probably really bad but... Venice...? I mean it has rich culture and history... then where will it be in the future... is it really sinking? I don't know just a thought..

Also people have been telling me that we have to do our presentation on a person/practitioner so I think we need to think of something else...

  8. I like the camera idea a lot. I don't think that these are too ordinary, there is a lot to look into cameras like you said the way they are changing in the use of 3D and HD. We can trace it back to the roots http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera_obscura (excuse the use of wikapedia but it's just to get an initial idea and things to look into)

  9. ok cool so we need to make a final decision on our topic and then begin our research...
I think I prefer the camera idea to max, sorry Nuria. I just think it has more to do with our courses and we can take it further...
also Nuria I have no idea whats going on on thursday, and I don't think Andy does either which isn't helpful! I know that we have a set build meeting at 9 on thursday morn in the scenic arts room.

  12. yeah we discuss George Eastman, the founder of Kodak. He brought us the first simple camera that could be used buy everyone. We look at who influenced him, the cameras before this and then the cameras after this and the fact that the Kodak compnay is still going...
